Magnesium Oxide Powder 83% is mainly used as fertilizer in agriculture. Magnesium is an essential element for plant growth, as the central core of the chlorophyll molecule in plant tissue. If Mg is deficient, the shortage of chlorophyll results in poor and stunted plant growth.
In magnesium salts production, it is an important raw material.
In addition, MgO 90% powder and granular can be used as magnesium supplement in livestock. Magnesium supplementation is needed to prevent hypomagnesaemia (grass tetany-staggers) and milk fever (when calcium is also low) in beef (and dairy) cows from calving to peak milk production. Pasture dusting with magnesium oxide (causmag) or supplying to fed hay or silage pre- and post-calving are methods that can work well.
In construction, Magnesia based industrial floors are heavy duty floors based upon Sorel cement. Sorel cement is a hydraulic cement mixture of magnesium oxide (calcined magnesia) and magnesium chloride which is usually combined with filler materials such as sand, aggregates, talcum and pigments.
