Product details

Graphite products can withstand very high temperature, and in the ultra-high temperature arc loss is very small, so graphite molds are widely used in the metallurgical industry and mechanical and electrical industry. So what role can graphite mould play in these industries?

1.Electric Conduction

Since graphite contains carbon, which is a good conductor, low-cost graphite products can conduct electricity well in production. For example, when smelting metal or producing calcium carbide with an electric arc furnace, the graphite products can be introduced into the melting area of the electric furnace to generate an arc, so that the electric energy can be converted into heat energy, and the temperature of the melting area can reach the range required for smelting or reaction.

2.High temperature resistance

The new graphite products are highly resistant to high temperatures, such as graphite mold, graphite dies for continuous casting, hot press graphite mould,Industrial heater. so they can be used in metallurgical furnaces when smelting metals. In addition, some precious metals, rare metals smelting tools ,such as graphite crucible can also be used as graphite products, so in the process of smelting will not be affected by high temperature

3.Lubricating material

Graphite products not only has good chemical stability but also good lubrication performance. In the high temperature and high pressure environment, it basically can't be used lubricating oil to improve the sliding part, but the graphite products to resist high temperature, so in the process of smelting metal, graphite products can be used as lubricating materials, so as to improve the wear resistance of sliding parts.

4.Casting mould

Because the coefficient of thermal expansion of graphite products is very small, in response to snap the hot and cold is not easy to deformation, so it can be used as a graphite mold or graphite die, and use graphite mold casting dimension precision, smooth surface, no processing can be used directly or can be used as long as a little processing, thus saving a large amount of metal.

Above is plays the role of graphite products in metallurgical industry, can be seen through the introduction of graphite products in the metallurgical industry is very important, not only able to increase the temperature of smelting area, as a conductive body for smelting metal can smoothly, but also can be used as lubricating materials to improve the wear resistance of equipment parts, so now the graphite products in the smelting industry cannot lack a kind of material.
